Gréti and Ádi's elegant wedding took place at Marcali.Hat location on Lake Balaton
I first met Gréti and Ádi in May during their engagement photoshoot. Ádi is a professional basketball player in the NB1 league, so due to transfers, they have lived in several places over the years. However, one of their favorite places is Lake Balaton, so I headed towards Badacsonytomaj to take their engagement photos there. Their wedding in July was also held at a location near Lake Balaton, in Marcali.
I believe it's essential to spend time getting to know each other during a photoshoot, especially during engagement sessions, as we'll be spending 12 hours together later. And that's exactly how this photoshoot went. We started by sitting down in a wine bar, getting to know each other, chatting, and then headed up the hillside to capture some stunning photos in the beautiful sunset light. Since we finished the shoot at dusk, I didn't rush back to Budapest, so we had dinner, continued our conversation, and parted ways with the anticipation of meeting again at the wedding, as if we had known each other for ages.

I set off eagerly for Marcali on that summer Friday. When I arrived at Kristinus Vinotel Wine Estate, where the preparations were taking place, there was already a buzz of activity. The bridal suite was bustling with activity as makeup and hair were being done, while the groomsmen were still moving around calmly. We took a few photos with the bridesmaids and Gréti's mother in the hotel lobby, then I rushed to capture the groom's preparations as well. Ádi had asked three of his friends to stand by him on the big day, and all four of them looked stylish in elegant white suits, complementing each other perfectly.
Gréti put on her dress, designed and made by Rami Wedding Dress, in the dressing room at Marcali Hát with the help of the bridesmaids. Then came the first look, when Gréti and Ádi saw each other for the first time before their wedding. We didn't have much time for the creative photo shoot, as the guests would soon arrive at the venue, so we took about 15-20 minutes to capture the couple's photos, and then sneaked out for 10 minutes during dinner to catch the sunset.
This was my first time photographing at this venue, but I loved every detail. The place itself has a tremendous atmosphere, and the decor only made it more beautiful: whether it was the table settings or the elements placed in the garden.
The ceremony was very intimate, filled with laughter and tears, of course. Gréti and Ádi's four-legged child, Chili, couldn't miss this day either, and he played a very important role, as he carried the rings to Gréti and Ádi.
During dinner, many guests were eager to dance and couldn't wait for the carefree dancing to begin. Both young and old danced until dawn on the dance floor, which was outdoors under the starry sky.
I'll never forget how the guys went wild to the famous ValMar "Úristen" song, or how Gréti and Ádi slow danced among the candlelights.
This evening held countless touching moments, whether it was the slideshow made by Ádi and Gréti for the guests, or when one of Ádi's friends performed a surprise song accompanied by guitar.
It's difficult to put into words the abundance of love that surrounded everything and everyone... I wish everyone to have such people in their lives!
And I am also incredibly grateful to have been part of this flood of love! :)
